An Olympic Dream

Our Year 5 to 12 students met former student and Olympic Pole Vaulter, Kurtis Marschall (’14), earlier this week at a special assembly.

Our Middle School Captains interviewed Kurtis on the back of his return from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and asked him this, among other, excellent questions:

What advice would you give to a Woodcroft College student who wishes to pursue a dream such as competing in the Olympics?

To pursue a dream is not about the sacrifices, it's about the choices you make.

We would like to thank Kurtis for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit. He truly was inspiring.

Jack Rossiter (’15), who also competed in Rio in Shooting, was unable to attend as he is currently competing in Russia.

We wish both Old Scholars continued success in their chosen discipline.
