Congratulations to Megan Alexander (9CB) who was recently asked to speak at the City of Onkaparinga Citizenship Ceremony.
Megan made the opening welcome speech to the 144 people from 26 countries who became Australian Citizens in the City of Onkaparinga.
She spoke about inclusion and cultural diversity, and how everyone should receive the same welcome and opportunity to be part of their community.
Megan spoke about establishing her Soccer Sisters Program in which she raised money to help provide the opportunity for a refugee girl to join the South Adelaide Pink Panthers Soccer Team as part of her IB Middle Years Program Personal Project.
Megan, who is pictured second from left, also spoke about being a Welcome to Australia Youth Ambassador and invited everyone to the Willunga Walk Together event this Saturday 22 October at 11:00 am in Willunga.
