INTENSIVE SCHOOL OF ENGLISH

Most international students enrolled in our Full-Time Study program will commence their time at the College in our Woodcroft Intensive School of English (WISE).

With classes capped at 20 students, WISE will continue to develop a student’s English skills in preparation for joining mainstream classes. As many subjects are language rich, the Intensive English program will support students for a successful learning experience at the College.

The maximum course period is up to 20 weeks with a mid-semester holiday break. The length of time in WISE is determined by a student’s level of English proficiency and can be based on the recommendations of a formal English test. Students may graduate from WISE in less than 20 weeks if they achieve a satisfactory level of English for their study in mainstream classes.

WISE is delivered on the College campus allowing students to start to experience school life.

Students are integrated with the local students for their morning Tutor Group, administration and attendance, for recess and lunch breaks, pastoral care lessons, Physical Education, extra-curricular activities (including sport), and appropriate excursions, social events and school trips. Friendships with local students and continuity with staff are encouraged from their arrival in Australia.

WISE has a separate fee structure and is dependent on the number of weeks. Details are included on the Fee Schedule.
