During the first week of the last school holidays a group of us came together to paint the Upper Junior School Bathrooms for our CAS Project. Myself, Charlotte, Amelia, Karalee, Sophia, Rory, Zoe and Daniel were extremely excited to begin painting. Before we could do anything we organised the paint and equipment which was kindly donated to our school by Bunnings Reynella and communicated with lots of staff so that our project ran smoothly.
We were planning to paint the bathrooms on Friday 9 April to Wednesday 14 April 2021 from 9.00 am until 2.00 pm, yet we managed to finalise everything on the Monday 12 April because on the other days we stayed back until 4.00 pm. The theme that we chose was Disney and we opted for quotes as well as the characters on both walls to give the students some inspiration.
On the first day we put up masking tape around the edges of both the boys and girls Junior School Upper Bathrooms and gave it multiple coats of white paint. On the second day we began sketching the quotes and the characters onto the walls using a projector and began painting each individual letter and the characters. On the third and final day we finished painting everything, made it neat and added the paint splatters.
We found that music really helped us concentrate to ensure this project was completed to our best abilities. We are very happy with how our CAS Project turned out and we hope that the students enjoy our contribution to the school.
