Our High Performance Athletes Program (HPAP) offers students the opportunity to take part in a range of activities, programs and workshops, focused on mental health and wellbeing.
This term, our HPAP students have taken part in Friday Yoga with College Counsellor, Kerrilee Beaumont, to help them focus, and create a sense of calm and stability.
They also had the opportunity to hear from Sportsmed SA Psychologist, Geof Boylan Marsland, who spoke about building resilience, dealing with success and failure and fear.
Geof also discussed mental toughness in elite sport, as well as characteristics of elite athletes. He shared information about the optimal psychological state for peak performance and why people succeed.
