Congratulations to Isabelle (Year 8) and Alessandra (Year 6) Daly who, along with their team Sturt, were crowned State Basketball Champions over the weekend!
They went through undefeated, but had some challenges along the way with five other strong teams all vying for the title. They fought hard and Isabelle was the top scorer in the tournament, defended hard and assisted like crazy to lead her team to victory as team captain.
As the top team in Australia, the team have now qualified to play in the two most prestigious national tournaments in Australia: National Junior Classics in Melbourne in July and the U14 Club Nationals in Melbourne in September. The team will play against the best U14 girls in the country in these tournaments.
Alessandra has also made it through to the final round of state trials for Softball, which will be held in Adelaide in November.
