Support Reef Fahey and T21SkiForLife

25 February 2022

Last year, new student Reef Fahey (Year 8), with the support of his parents and sister Mahala, created a fundraising campaign called T21 Ski For Life. The campaign aims to raise funds and awareness for both Down Syndrome and Ski For Life (an organisation who support mental health for farmers).  Reef’s younger brother has T21 (Down Syndrome) and the two are the best of mates.

Reef was keen to learn how to water ski and has been practicing hard to participate in the 2022 Ski For Life event to be held from Friday 11 March to Sunday 13 March. He aims to ski 213kms before Monday 21 March which is World Down Syndrome Day.

Reef’s sister Mahala supports Reef with everything behind the scenes along with being the brains behind some great ideas for getting their campaign out there and into some educational settings.

Last year, the pair received some great media coverage and to date, have raised $13,000.
