All teaching position applicants must have the following:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications and experience relevant to the area of teaching;
  • current registration to teach in South Australia;
  • certified evidence of mandatory notification training; and
  • acceptable working VISA if an overseas applicant.

If the applicant is a new graduate, an academic transcript and practicum reports should be supplied.

Deputy Head - Quality Learning and Teaching

Woodcroft College is seeking to appoint a passionate, innovative and dynamic Deputy Head - Quality Learning and Teaching commencing in January 2019.

The role of Deputy Head - Quality Learning and Teaching is a newly framed position – it carries the responsibility for curriculum leadership and teacher quality throughout the organisation. The position expressly supports, and reports directly to the Head of College and is a member of the College Leadership Team.

The Deputy Head – Quality Learning and Teaching will have:

  • A clear vision on managing people and the curriculum of an ELC to Year 12 College.
  • Strong planning and implementation skills.
  • Outstanding teacher attributes with contemporary and engaging practices in action in their classroom.
  • An ability to ensure that high standards are set in relation to rules and regulations.
  • A person with a genuine understanding of how an ELC to Year 12 Colleges operate and how high performance is achieved.
  • A strong sense of empathy to young people and peers.
  • A high level of initiative.

Qualifications and Relevant Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education.
  • Current Teachers Registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing curriculum.
  • Understanding of the SACE (desirable), The Australian Curriculum and preferably the International Baccalaureate.

Middle School Classroom Teachers (Years 6 & 7)

Woodcroft College is seeking to employ two experienced, passionate, innovative and highly professional teachers to provide exceptional education to middle school students for the 2019 school year. 

About the Roles 

Candidates should demonstrate passion for and experience in teaching middle school (Year 6 and Year 7) students. They should have the ability to produce exemplary student learning outcomes and build positive relationships with the leadership team, peers, staff, parents and students.

Qualifications and Relevant Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated passion for, and experience in, teaching Primary students.
  • Innovative and exemplary classroom practitioner with a proven record of student outcomes.
  • High level of ICT skills, knowledge and effective incorporation into classroom practice, including 1:1 iPad Program.
  • The capacity to cater for students with a range of abilities and learning styles within the classroom and to monitor and respond to, student progress.

Woodcroft College is seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Junior School ESO - Literacy, Numeracy and Inquiry commencing in January 2019.

The role of the ESO will be to provide assistance in the areas of Literacy, Numeracy and Inquiry to the staff of the Junior School in the support of Junior School teaching programs.
