BUS SERVICE

Bus Routes

We offer five dedicated bus routes connecting students living north, west, south and east of the College:

  • Aldinga
  • Blackwood
  • Kangarilla
  • Mount Compass
  • Seacliff

The College has partnered with Willunga Charter to provide our bus services.

All buses arrive at the College by 8.35am and leave at 3.30pm in the afternoon.

All students must be at their designated stop at least 5 – 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.

A number of public bus services also operate from the Woodcroft Community Centre.

Bus Service Information

Registration to use Bus Service
Parents wishing to utilise the school’s bus service should contact the Main Administration Office to register their intention to use the service, and obtain further route and bus pass information.

Bus Passes & Willunga Charter Parent App
Our partnership with Willunga Charter will allow parents to utilise the Willunga Charter App. The app will enable parents to receive real-time notifications of their child/ren’s travel.

Students will use a ‘Tap On – Tap Off’ smartcard when using the bus service, which will also allow the College and parents to monitor students bus usage.

The current cost structure will remain unchanged, and for new families to the College a cost per trip for your child will be determined at the time of issuing the smartcard. The standard trip cost is determined based on the distance being travelled to, and from the college. It will be either a $2.00, $3.00 or $4.00 charge per trip dependant on distance.

Topping Up Your Smartcard
To ensure uninterrupted travel on the College busses, parents will be required to ensure that an appropriate credit balance is maintained on their child’s card to cover their expected level of travel. Card balances are accessible via the App and low balance warnings will be messaged to parents once a card reaches a certain low value threshold.

Topping up your card must be actioned via the College Accounts Department, by purchasing travel credit starting at a minimum value of $50.00. Larger amounts of credit can be purchased to cover those students who are frequent travellers and those who are charged higher value per trip costs.

Travel credit will be charged to your account and payment is required when it appears on your next account statement.

If a smartcard has been lost or no longer works, a new card will need to be purchased from the College Finance Office at a cost of $5.50 each. Please note that the initial card issued to a student will be complimentary.

CANTEEN

The College Canteen is operated by Rory’s School Lunches.

Rory’s School Lunches are a local based Catering and Canteen Management Company providing excellent and extensive “healthy choice” food offerings. To view the menu available to students at Woodcroft, please click here.

Lunch Purchases

There are three ways students can purchase lunch.

QKR App
You can place an online lunch order via the QKR app (Rory’s online ordering system). Orders can be placed in advance, any time, until 8.30am on the day the lunch is required. Students do not need to bring cash to school to pay for their lunch order. Parents can also discuss food choices with their children, which is particularly helpful for younger students.

Visit the Canteen Before School
You can visit the canteen before school and place an order directly with the canteen. The canteen will be open from 8.00 am each morning. Students who place lunch orders will be able to order from the menu that is available on QKR, the Rory’s website at www.rorys.com.au or from the menu in the canteen.

Visit the Canteen During Recess and Lunch
Students can come directly to the canteen at recess and lunch. Junior School students can only purchase drinks and snack items. Middle and Senior School students can purchase lunch from a great selection of hot and cold foods from the displays. Daily this includes: fresh baguettes, salads and wraps, hot pasta, curries and stir-fries, toasted wraps and yiros, toasted subs, burgers, hotdogs and other specialty dishes. The canteen will also stock a range of drinks, ice blocks and snack items.

Full EFTPOS facilities are available in the canteen for purchases.
