HOW TO ENROL

step one

Register

It is never too early to register your interest for your child to attend our ELC 3-Year-Old Flying Start Preschool program or Year 7 – our two main intake years. You can register for other Year levels but always check with our Enrolments team for place availability before completing our online Registration of Interest form. 

Submitting a Registration of Interest form with your payment of the non-refundable fee will place your child in our wait pool. 

If you have already submitted a Registration of Interest for ELC and School, you do not need to submit another form for any other Year levels at the College.

Enrolment Information

If your child meets our offer of enrolment criteria for our main intake years, you will be sent an Enrolment Information form to complete. The timeline for this stage is: 

• ELC 3-Year-Old Flying Start Preschool: from July the year prior to your child’s start. 

• Year 7: from March two years prior to your child’s start. 

Along with required documentation, this form will give you the opportunity to provide further details about your child and their educational needs. 

If you are registered for other Year levels, you will be contacted by one of our Enrolments team to advise of place availability. If you wish to proceed, you will be sent the Enrolment Information to complete. Middle and Senior School students can only commence at the start of a Semester (no mid-term entry).

Invitation to Interview

All places at Woodcroft College are subject to an interview. If you are invited to an interview, this is a valuable opportunity to learn more about our school and to ask any questions that you may have.  

The interview is an informal discussion with the Principal or relevant Head of Sub School and gives us the opportunity to get to know your child. Your child must attend this interview with at least one parent (if possible, we encourage both parents to attend).  

step FOUR

Offer of Place

If your child is offered a place, you will receive an email with a link to our online Enrolment Agreement. This Agreement will need to be signed by the parent or parents responsible for the fees and will be submitted with a non-refundable Enrolment Fee. 

If your child is commencing in our ELC we will start confirming places in Reception towards the end of your first year in our 3-Year-Old Flying Start Preschool program. You will be invited to a meeting with the Head of Junior School at least 12 months prior to your child’s start to school. After this meeting your child’s transition into Reception will be confirmed.  

step FIVE

Orientation

Once enrolled, you and your child will attend two orientation sessions in the ELC, each one hour in length. 

Year 7 orientation days are held in Term 4 the year prior to the entry year – your child will attend one of the days with other students who will be in the same House. This brings together our current Year 6 students and new students for one day at the College. You will be invited to an information session on the morning of your child’s orientation day. 

Reception students will be invited to participate in our Reception Ready Program from Term 2 the year prior. Moving Up days are held across all Year levels in the Junior School and the buddy system is in place. 

We use a buddy system with current and new students for all other Year levels in Middle and Senior School.   

Major Intake Levels

The main points of entry to the College are ELC 3-Year-Old Flying Start Preschool and Year 7. Students may be admitted at other year levels provided that places are available.

Change or Cancellation of Enrolment

If you need to change or cancel your child’s enrolment, please contact the Enrolments Manager via email at [email protected].

Updating Enrolment Details

It is important to notify the College of any changes to contact details or student circumstances during the enrolment process. If we are unable to contact you at any of the stages, your registration or enrolment may be cancelled.
