STUDENT LEADERSHIP

Woodcroft College encourages the development of leadership skills and offers a range of formal leadership roles in Junior, Middle and Senior School.

An exciting aspect of the College leadership program is the mentoring that takes place between the year levels.

• College Captains are appointed in Senior School and serve in Year 12.
• School Captains are appointed in both Junior and Middle School.
• Student leaders from Middle and Senior School make up the Student Leadership Executive.
• House Captains are appointed in Junior, Middle and Senior School.
• Ambassadors and Student Leaders will be active members of the Student Leadership Executive. Positions are available for Sport, The Arts, Outdoor Education, Languages, International Programs and Social Justice.
• Unique Future Leaders Program in Year 10 for selected students.
• Student Representative Council (Year 1 to Year 5).

Leadership positions are normally appointed early in Term 4 to serve for the following year. Students are nominated to by their peers and their teachers.

Student leaders are expected to be positive role models, to work on initiatives that support a positive student community, to coordinate activities and to assist the Head of School, Deputy Head and Principal for official functions.
