SCHOLARSHIPS

Woodcroft College is pleased to offer a range of Scholarship opportunities each year for new and current students. Scholarships are awarded in recognition of academic, music, sporting or community achievements.

ACADEMIC


Mark Porter Academic Entry Award – Middle and Senior School Entry
Two scholarships have been created to honour the significant contribution made by Mark Porter over the term of his, near, thirty-year relationship with the College and will be awarded to new students only. 

Each year the College will award one scholarship to a new Year 7 and a new Year 10 student entering the College, based on academic achievement.

Music


Aspiring Musicians Program (AMP)
Aims to recognise talented, aspiring music students in the Middle School (Years 7 to 9) and encourages them to pursue excellence in their music studies on an instrument or using their voice.

Music Scholarship for Year 7 Entry 
Open to two new or current students entering Year 7 in the following year.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a proficiency at playing a musical instrument (including voice) through an audition process.

Sport


High Performance Athletes Scholarship
Each year the College will award two scholarships to new and current students entering Year 10 the following year who are competing at a State or National representation level.

Family Named Scholarships


Open to new and current students entering or currently attending Senior School (Year 10 to Year 12).

Bronwyn Lockyer Scholarship (music focus)
Honours the memory of Mrs Bronwyn Lockyer, an early supporter of the school.

Dean Shepherd Memorial Scholarship (achievement)
Honours the memory of Mr Dean Shepherd, an early supporter of the school.

The AC Williams Scholarship (achievement)
Honours the memory of Mr Charlie Williams, a contributor to the development of the school in its early years.

Judith and Dean Rowe Scholarship (community minded)
Honours Mrs Judith Rowe (deceased) and Mr Dean Rowe for voluntary service to the College and wider community.
