  • Gain an understanding of cultural perspectives
  • Participate in alternative approaches to learning
  • Experience of Australian culture and lifestyle
  • Sense of accomplishment
  • Growing self-confidence
  • Experience in meeting new people and making lasting friendships
  • Become more flexible, adaptable and courageous

Full-Time Study

Students can choose to study full-time at Woodcroft College from Year 7 onwards with Year 12 as their final year (subject to visa conditions). Most full-time students will commence their studies in the Woodcroft Intensive School of English (WISE) for up to 20 weeks before the start of a new school year in January.

Full-time students will have the opportunity to complete their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) over Year 11 and Year 12. This is an internationally recognised qualification for entry to university in Australia and overseas.

Students will have a broad choice of subjects through the Australian curriculum and can participate in student life at the College through the many extra-curricular activities on offer.

During their time at the College, students will have ongoing academic support including subject and careers counselling along with a strong pastoral care program for wellbeing.

Study Abroad

Woodcroft College is pleased to offer students the experience of education and life in Australia for up to one year. Students can choose to enrol for one term, semester or year.

Study Abroad is designed for students who wish to return to their local school and continue their studies. During their time at the College, students will attend classes with local students and will have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Students will undertake formal assessments and a school report will be provided at the end of their Study Abroad experience.

Outside of the classroom, students will take part in activities designed to introduce our unique culture, nature and wildlife. This includes participating in Australian sports, visiting and experiencing tourist attractions such as Cleland Wildlife Park, Victor Harbor, a short stay on the iconic Kangaroo Island and more.

Study Abroad is suitable for students who have good English skills or students needing only limited support through the Woodcroft Intensive School of English (WISE).

Study Tour

A Study Tour is offered for up to four weeks for Year 8 to Year 10 students. Individual and group applications can be considered for the Study Tour program. This program is an opportunity to experience Australian school life and culture.

Study Tour applicants must be confident in their English skills. All lessons are taught in English and students will engage with the curriculum in the classroom with local students. There are no Intensive English lessons provided during a Study Tour.

This program is suited to students who want to build on their existing English skills and who are seeking a cultural immersion experience. It is also an opportunity for those students considering Woodcroft College to spend time here as they make the decision on applying for full-time study.

Cultural activities are an important part of learning English and learning about student life in Australia. Outside of the classroom, students will take part in education excursions to experience our unique culture, nature and wildlife.

There will be no formal assessments or reports for Study Tour students.
