Information for Applicants

Applications should address the selection criteria and include a curriculum vitae and three professional referees.

All teaching position applicants must have the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience relevant to the area of teaching.
  • Current registration to teach in South Australia.
  • Certified evidence of mandatory notification training.
  • Acceptable working VISA if an overseas applicant.

If the applicant is a new graduate, an academic transcript and practicum reports should be supplied.

Woodcroft College Early Learning Centre is excited to be one of the first services selected by the South Australian Government to deliver the new preschool program for 3-year-old children.

We are seeking three passionate and qualified Early Childhood Teachers to join our team from January 2026, helping shape this important new initiative.

HEAD OF FACULTY – ENGLISH

Tenured Position

We are seeking a talented and experienced educator to join our Middle/Senior School as the Head of Faculty – English. This is a full-time, tenured position that will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational outcomes of our students.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional student outcomes
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of teachers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, assessment and data analysis to drive continuous improvement
  • Passion for English and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia

MIDDLE/SENIOR SCHOOL TEACHER LIBRARIAN

We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced Teacher Librarian to lead our Middle/Senior School Library. This full-time, tenured role is key to enriching student learning and includes a 0.2 FTE teaching load.

  • Relevant teaching and librarian qualifications and experience, with a focus on secondary education
  • Demonstrated expertise in library management, including collection development and cataloguing
  • Strong knowledge of information literacy, research skills, and the effective use of library resources
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, teachers, and the broader school community
  • Creativity and initiative in developing and implementing engaging library programs and events
  • A passion for fostering a love of reading and learning in students

MIDDLE/SENIOR SCHOOL TEACHER – JAPANESE

Commencing 2026
Permanent – 0.8-1.0 FTE

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Japanese Teacher to join our Middle/Senior School Languages faculty. The ability to teach in another subject area would be desirable but is not essential. Please note any other subject areas in your application.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialisation in teaching Japanese, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Japanese in a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, student-centred lessons and effectively manage a classroom
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum

Woodcroft College is an independent coeducational Anglican school located in Morphett Vale. Established in 1989, Woodcroft welcomes students from ELC to Year 12 into a progressive, engaged and energetic learning community.
