Charter Ambassadors

22 March 2024

A group of our students had the privilege of attending the Child Development Council “Charter Ambassadors” event on Tuesday, and what an unforgettable experience it was!

Starting their day at the majestic Government House, our students were welcomed with excitement and anticipation for the day ahead. With entrée cards in hand, they eagerly awaited the Pin Presentation ceremony, a proud moment that showcased their dedication and commitment to leadership.

Amidst the grandeur of Government House, our students came together for a group photo on the lush lawns, capturing the spirit of camaraderie and unity. And of course, no visit to Government House would be complete without a quick selfie with the life-sized statue of Queen Elizabeth II—truly a royal moment!

Afterward, our students embarked on a journey of learning and discovery as they made their way to the Adelaide Festival Centre Banquet room. Here, they delved into workshops exploring the SA Charter for Children and Young People, gaining valuable insights into leadership and motivation from Charter Champions, David and Felicity.

As the workshop concluded, our students left inspired and empowered, equipped with newfound knowledge and a deeper understanding of their role as leaders in our community. The students hope to set up a podcast and already have plans to organise a meeting with Mr Smith to get it up and running!

We’re incredibly proud of our students for representing Woodcroft College with distinction and embracing the opportunity to grow and learn. Here’s to many more adventures and discoveries on the path of leadership!
