The important final year of Middle School will see students being prepared for the challenges and opportunities of Senior School.

The curriculum, extra-curricular activities and outdoor education program work together to build self-esteem, leadership and life skills, and the development of both character and intellect.

Students are encouraged to set goals and grow in independence. Within a safe environment, students will be encouraged to take risks and respond to challenges with growing self-confidence and resilience.

The focus is on continuing to build students’ ability to persevere both academically and socially. Students’ sense of belonging and community will be strengthened through nurturing positive relationships and growing social responsibility.

This year offers the highly regarded Quest program that is often the highlight of a student’s experience at Woodcroft College.

Further learning and growth opportunities occur outside the classroom through leadership responsibilities, a broad range of extra-curricular clubs and activities, an extensive sports program, performing art opportunities and the Outdoor Education Program.

In Year 9, students will continue to build on their core subject knowledge while having more choice to follow areas of interest and passion through their elective choices.
